Tyler Feld (he/him)
FOUNDER
Tyler’s love of the outdoors began from early childhood experiences exploring the oak woodlands of Southern California and the pine forests of the Sierra Nevadas. As a teenager with a career goal to “protect the trees,” he pursued a B.A. Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz. Following his degree, Tyler has spent his professional career connecting others with nature through outdoor education, community based habitat restoration, and working to expand access to nature. He hopes to bring this to Branching Out Adventures by working to make nature more accessible to members of the queer community!

Joe Rogers (he/him)
Joe has been a fan of the outdoors from very early childhood. From making mud pies in the garden in his parents' backyard to exploring tide pools on the California coast and trails and campgrounds in the Sierra Nevada mountains, these experiences helped mold him into a person who is deeply passionate about the natural world and the ways in which we protect it. Joe followed that curiosity to a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology from UC Davis and a nearly 10-year career in informal education and interpretation - largely with California State Parks.
Joe now works in Digital Accessibility, but is still passionate about the ways in which outdoor spaces can bring people together. As a Board Member, he's committed to creating spaces for queer people to create connections within themselves, with their community, and with the natural world.iption goes here
