Saturday, August 15th, 2026. 8:00am to 11:00am.
Join other members of our queer community for a morning walk to look for birds!! With bird activity peaking in the early morning hours, it will be a unique opportunity to witness spectacular shorebirds along the San Francisco Bay.

Branching Out Adventures is hosting a Queer CampOUT at Arroyo Seco Campground in Greenfiled, CA. Attending this event means a weekend of queer community, thoughtful conversation, exploring the mountians, and celebrating queer joy! The weekend will include activities like hiking, river exploration, games, guided hikes on local ecology, and celebrating the joy that is being queer outside!

9/23: Queer Sunset Hike at Mt Diablo State Park

Wednesday, Sept 23, 2026. 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Queerness is everywhere in our natural world. Join us and Save Mount Diablo on a nature walk in Mitchell Canyon to learn about the queer plants and animals found on Mount Diablo. We’ll also be on the lookout for the gentle giants of Mount Diablo, the North American tarantulas, and another one of Mount Diablo’s arachnids – scorpions!

9/25 - 27 QTBIPOC CampOUT: Salt Point State Park

Branching Out Adventures is hosting a CampOUT for Queer Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color at Salt Point State Park near Jenner, CA. Attending this event means a weekend of QTBIPOC community, thoughtful conversation, exploring the coastline, and celebrating queer joy! The weekend will center connection to community and nature. The vibes will be cozy and restorative with activities like camp games, group stretching, a guided hike on local ecology, and celebrating the joy that is being queer outside!

10/2 - 4: OUT Backpacking Portola Redwoods State Park

Friday Oct 2nd to Sun Oct 4th, 2026.
Join other members of our queer community in OUT Backpacking through the Santa Cruz Mountains at Portola Redwoods State Park! Whether it is your first time backpacking or you are a seasoned expert, we will have a wonderful expedition in store! Explore the redwood forests and riparian corridors of our local redwood forests. Backpacking and camping equipment can be provided if indicated on the registration page.
