Join other members of our queer community in a night hike in the spirit of Halloween, but queer!! Search for glow in the dark critters, sounds of nature, and practice seeing with our own night vision.

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods & Branching Out Adventures welcome LGTBQIA+individuals, families, and allies to enjoy a relaxing walk among the beautiful redwoods as night falls. We'll slowly walk an accessible trail, pausing to experience the darkening forest with our senses, and give space for quiet conversations among the group.

This event is free, but there is a $10 park entrance/parking fee payable at the kiosk or the automated parking machines at the park entrance.

Saturday Dec 5th, 2026. 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Join us and our friends at San Mateo County Park for a winter hike through the redwoods. During this event, we will explore the iconic Pescadero Valley on a guided walk to appreciate redwood ecology, while looking for mushrooms, banana slugs and more. This hike will include a walk to some of the park's old growth trees in the heritage grove.
